My Everyday Makeup Favorites

I’m so grateful that during my years of performing in ballets and also competing in pageants, I’ve learned a lot about makeup. Even when I was little I loved watching the “older girls” and the products they used and whenever I was fortunate enough to have an expert do my makeup I asked wayyyyy too many questions to learn as much as I possibly could. So I’m determined to share all I’ve learn and wanted to start off by sharing some of my favorite products for an everyday makeup look. These are products that I use daily and they range from brands that are truly worth the hype, the products that you probably have never heard of,as well as cheaper makeup dupes that really do the trick! Plus, I’m giving you links to ALL OF THEM!

Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer

Prime & Moisturize

First things first, MOISTURIZE! This is basically a requirement before you apply any makeup to your face. It ensures that your makeup will go on smooth and prevents any kind of “cakey” look. I use the Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer because I really love how light it feels on my skin & it adds a bit of highlight to your skin. Next, NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer . This stuff is amazing! If you look at the ingredients, it is made with the same exact things as its big brand competitor but it’s only a fraction of the price. Prep your face with the primer and let it sit for about 5 minutes to achieve MAXIMUM results.

Setting the Stage

Next, you want to do what I call, “set the stage” for your makeup. This is when you basically try to make your face and skin a perfect canvas for all the fun, colorful things such as eyeshadows, bronzers & blush. Having the right concealer, foundation, and setting powder helps you achieve just that! Since I tend to use a powder foundation, I like to apply my concealer first. Let me just say, if I could only have ONE makeup product for the REST OF MY LIFE, without hesitation, it’d be: It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye . Holy smokes, I have the worst under eye circles and this stuff performs MIRACLES. I cannot reiterate this enough.

Ecotools Perfecting Makeup Sponge

After putting on my concealer with Ecotools Perfecting Makeup Sponge , I reach for my Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation Powder . As I’d mentioned, I like to wear powder foundation because it feels so much lighter on my skin & it minimizes my the likelihood of getting clogged pores (especially during a long day sweating it at the studio). I love how even though it is a powder the Tarte foundation provides such a smooth coverage, it’ll make your skin look like porcelain. Then apply your loose setting powder all over and trust me the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder is worth every bit of praise it gets! It’s been voted the #1 setting powder for years and it will help set your makeup for up to 16 hours!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer Travel Mini

Add Some Dimension

Now since you’ve got your canvas ready, add some depth! I am obsessed with Benefit Hoola Bronzer Travel Mini (and yes the mini size provides plenty of product). This is what I use to contour under my cheekbones, under my jaw, and on my temple. The bronzer has a warmer tones so it doesn’t look “dirty” or “muddy” ever.

Benefit Blush Bar

Next, for obvious reasons I love Benefit Blush Bar , not just because it features beautiful ballerinas on the front, but because it has multiple blush tones so I can switch it up to match what outfit/ leotard I’m wearing.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

It’s All in the Eyes

Eye makeup is definitely the most fun part of the entire process! I definitely recommend never going without doing your eyebrows! You’ll be shocked at the difference they make, adding structure to your face and framing those gorgeous eyes. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz is perfection, it provides a super small eyebrow brush and pencil to fill in your brows in a way that looks simple & natural. For eyeshadow, it’s important to have basic shades for an everyday look that lets you bring out your eyes without it being overkill. That’s why I love both the Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette and Too Faced Chocolate Chip Palette . They are small enough to fit in your pocket but are packaged with the brands best matte colors. I finish it up with my favorite (and America’s favorite) mascara Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara . It seriously lengthens, darkens , and adds volume like none other.

And that’s it!

I hope y’all enjoyed learning about some of my go-to products. You can get them for yourself by clicking on any of the pictures or italicized words above. Which ones are you going to try? What products do you already own? What products do you think I should add to my list? I’d love to know! Till then, try all of these amazing makeup items and show off your individual beauty that makes you one of a kind!
